Matt Seigel, President
An Omaha resident since 2006, Matt is thrilled to take a more active leadership role in the Omaha community. The Chicago-area native lived in several other cities before his sports television career brought him here. He’s now a Media Consultant for Yellowbook, helping small and medium-sized businesses with their print and online marketing needs. The University of Southern California graduate regularly cheers on his Trojans and Chicago Cubs (he was even a beer vendor at Wrigley Field in college!). Additionally, he enjoys golf, cooking, working out, and spending evenings walking through the Old Market. Matt is thrilled to have an opportunity to help lead All About Omaha and knows how beneficial the organization is for its members and the groups it serves.
Vanessa Wattier, Executive Vice President
Vanessa joined the Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau as an Executive Assistant after graduating from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. She feels fortunate to work in the tourism industry as it relates to her passion for traveling. As an All About Omaha Board member, Vanessa is excited to connect with other young professionals in the Omaha community. Her free time is spent exploring Omaha and spending time with family and friends.
Matt Merwald, Treasurer
Matt is an Omaha native who went to college at UNL. He studied biology and psychology and was also very active in his fraternity as well as a number of student organizations. After graduating from college he took a position as an advisor with Mutual of Omaha and has been there ever since. As a young professional, Matt has developed an appreciation for Omaha that gives him a desire to become more involved in the community. In his free time, he likes to go to Husker football games, CWS games, and Creighton basketball games and many other sporting events in the area. Matt also enjoys many of the other things that Omaha has to offer such as running on one of our many trails and dining out around town.
Chris Petersen, Secretary | Historian
In May 2008 Chris moved to Omaha after being hired as a Field Research Photographer for the CoStar Group. Before moving to Omaha Chris had attended the University of South Dakota where he majored in International Studies and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree. Thanks to his job, Chris has become extremely familiar with Omaha and has come to appreciate it as an accessible and vibrant city that has many opportunities for young professionals. Chris has volunteered for Little Brothers, the United Way of the Midlands disaster exercises and is excited to be part of the AAO board.
Matthew Gall, VP of Membership
Matthew is from Schuyler, Nebraska. He has been an Omaha resident since 2005. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Master’s degree in Management Information Systems with a Minor in Business Administration. Matthew is very passionate about his career in Information Technology. He is currently employed by Sirius Computer Solutions as a Project Manager. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, spending time in the great outdoors, attending local sporting events, and spending time with friends and family. Matthew is very excited to have the opportunity to serve on the All About Omaha Board.
Scott Susman, VP of Membership
Scott moved to Omaha shortly after graduating from the University of Missouri. While not cheering on his Tigers and hometown St. Louis Cardinals, he writes software for Union Pacific. Scott's second year on the board, he is excited to be co-chairing the Torchlight Ball. He has quickly taken to calling Omaha home, and sings its praises anywhere he is.
Regan Pepples, VP of Community Service
Regan Pepples is the Career Services Coordinator for ITT Technical Institute, where she assists students in identifying their talents and pursuing their career goals. An Omaha native, she studies Management of Human Resources at Bellevue University. Regan is a natural networker and enjoys meeting and learning more about people everywhere she goes. This is Regan’s first year serving on the board of All About Omaha and she is looking forward to applying her talents and enthusiasm as the VP of Community Service. In her free time, you’ll find Regan gardening, camping and out on the town with friends.
Jennifer Cooke, VP of Leadership
Danna Kehm, VP of Marketing
Danna grew up in the Omaha area and loves to call it home. She is the Telehealth Coordinator for the Visiting Nurse Association where she oversees their home medical technology program. Danna is a graduate of University of Iowa, earning her BA in Marketing and Management. She also received her MBA from Bellevue University, with an emphasis in Finance. During her free time Danna enjoys going to concerts, sporting events, and spending time with friends. This is Danna's forth year on the board and she is excited about the opportunity to be a part of a progressive organization to help keep young professionals in Omaha.
Jasmyn LeFlore, VP of Marketing
Jasmyn has been with the Omaha Convention and Visitors Bureau in the Marketing department for the last 4 years. She is currently the Social Media specialist and is heavily involved with developing and implementing the bureau’s social media strategy. Jasmyn participated in and completed the Peter Kiewit Foundation’s Social Media program and has attended numerous conferences to stay current on the ever-changing social media landscape. Jasmyn has also worked as a communication assistant in Omaha Mayor Mike Fahey’s office and was President of the Public Relations Student Society of America at UNO where she received the Presidential Award for her leadership. Jasmyn has also been involved in fundraising for a variety of different Omaha organizations including the Omaha Food Bank.
Stephanie Stephens, VP of Omaha Awareness
Stephanie was born and raised in Omaha. She attended Duchesne Academy for high school and played soccer at the College of St. Mary where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree. Stephanie is currently working on her Master’s degree at the University of Nebraska at Omaha in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Stephanie recently obtained the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification while working for Sirius Computer Solutions as an Employee Relations Specialist. As an Omaha native, Stephanie is excited to plan and organize AAO outings as the VP of Omaha Awareness.
Sean Wavrin, VP of Omaha Awareness
Sean is originally from Bismarck, North Dakota. Sean attended college at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln graduating in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. Sean is actively involved in the Nebraska Alumni Association, Christ Community Church and other organizations in the Omaha community. Sean is an avid outdoorsman, golfer and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Kate Sanwick, VP of Charitable Events
Kate is an Omaha native that grew up in Southwest Omaha and attended Millard South High school, from there she attended UNO and Metro Community College. She worked 7 years at Methodist Hospital in the Emergency Room as an Emergency Care technician from there she moved on to be an Office Administrator for Alley Poyner Macchietto Architecture. She has found her true calling working in Insurance providing people with quality products that will prepare them for what life might have in store. She is currently working for James Ferguson Agency- State Farm. She chaired a young professionals fundraising event for Prevent Blindness Nebraska. She enjoys traveling, fine wine, great food, staying active and being surrounded by great people. Kate is excited to have the opportunity to serve on the All About Omaha board and increase membership with more outstanding Omahan’s that believe in the great city we live in.
Katie Simpson, VP of Charitable Events
Katie is an Omaha native, and has also lived in Minneapolis, MN and Cedar Rapids, IA. She went to Duchesne Academy for high school and to Creighton University for college, where she majored in History. Katie has a passion for continued learning and has achieved her Senior Professional in Human Resources certification and attends school part time at Creighton University, working towards a combined Juris Doctorate and Master’s Degree in Conflict Resolution and Negotiation. Previously she worked at Sirius Computer Solutions as the Manager of Leadership Development. Katie’s hobbies include cooking, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and going to movies. She also enjoys new adventures and is looking forward to exploring the city with All About Omaha this year!
Katie Vap, VP of Charitable Events
Katie Vap was born and raised in Omaha, NE. She graduated from University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After graduating from UNL, she joined the team at Quality Brands of Omaha. She has held a variety of roles at Quality Brands, which include On-Premise Team Leader, Specialty Brand Manager, and currently Marketing Manager. Katie is an avid runner and enjoys the outdoors. She is involved with the Boys and Girls Club, Teammates, Young Art Patrons, and anything that involves meeting new people. This is Katie’s second year on the board of All About Omaha and she is excited to organize and plan AAO Torchlight Ball!
Tina Vasko, VP of Charitable Events
She is proud to be a Nebraska native. She was born and raised in Papillion, Nebraska and now lives in mid-town Omaha. She is a graduate of University of Nebraska at Omaha where she studied Finance and Banking. She works at First National as a financial analyst for the holding company. Not only does she enjoy her job but is delighted to be working at an Omaha based company. In her free time she enjoys volunteering, traveling, hunting, camping, watching a good movie, spending time with family, and spending time with friends (and making new ones) all around Omaha.
Jessica Wolff, Past President Advisor
Jessica is from West Point, Nebraska. She attended Hastings College and majored in Political Science and Philosophy. Before she moved to Omaha, she moved to Manhattan, Kansas and pursued graduated studies at Kansas State University. Don't worry she still loves the Huskers, but not as much as she loves her Creighton Bluejays! Jessica is a 2009 graduate of Creighton University School of Law. When Jessica isn't working, she enjoys going to Creighton basketball games, attending concerts, exploring new hot spots in Omaha, and running and training for upcoming 5Ks, 10Ks, and half-marathons.
